Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to Jinja

On arrival/depending on your location, our company representative/driver guide will meet you then later proceed to for your transfer to Jinja-the source of the River Nile. Drive through Mabira forest, largest rainforest in Uganda and sugar plantations. Connect for lunch and later afternoon drive to the Source of the Nile where you will be briefed about the Lake Victoria. Later in the evening go for a sunset boat cruise on Lake Victoria. Drive to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Half day white water rafting and transfer to Kampala

After morning breakfast, drive to the starting point for your rafting experience. You will be briefed about the activity then proceed to the rafting spot where you will be given gears and instructions, this usually starts at 9 am. Enjoy your half day amazing fun along the longest Nile in Africa. Retreat from the activity and have lunch then embark on your 3 hours drive back to Kampala where you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Murchison falls national park. 

Depending on your location in Kampala, you will meet your driver/guide who will transfer you Murchison falls national park, a 3-4 hours drive via Masindi. En route, lunch and visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for 2 hours for Rhino trekking. Retreat from the activity and connect to the park arriving late afternoon and check in your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive and Boat cruise at the bottom of the falls

Early morning after breakfast at your lodge, embark on a morning game drive in the northern part of the park to the delta. This is where you may spot various animal species like elephants, giraffes, lions, hyenas, cape buffaloes, leopards (on a lucky day), and different species of antelopes including the Uganda Kobs, Jackson hartebeest, Oribi, waterbucks among others. After the game drive, return to your lodge to refresh and have lunch.

In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise to see the magnificent Falls along River Nile. Cruising along the bottom of the falls will expose you to the park’s streaming hippo and serried ranges of crocodile along the sandbanks, different bird species and large numbers of different species getting down to drink & bathe.

After viewing the falls, hike up to the top of the falls through Bakers trail and also be able to view the falls on Bakers stone. On this hike you will be able to view the falls on different viewpoints and finally spend some quality time observing the falls from the top. Later in the evening, meet your driver and return to your lodge as above.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After early morning breakfast, meet the driver and cross the 7 am ferry for a transfer to Kibale forest national park in the western part of the country. This is a full day drive with lunch en route. Arrive late afternoon and connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking experience and afternoon nature walk at Bigodi wetland 

After early morning breakfast at the lodge, connect to Kibale forest for your chimpanzee tracking experience with your packed snacks and water. You will first report at the park head quarters for a briefing before entering the forest for the activity. During your tracking, expect to see a lot of primate species like chimpanzees, monkeys and other animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, bush pig and duiker, warthogs, reptiles as well as a colorful variety of butterflies, after spending an hour with the chimps, return to the Lodge for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, the driver will take you for a nature walk at Bigodi wetland where you will enjoy the silence but only the whispers and sounds of birds. You will be able to spot various bird species while here. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above

Day 7: Morning game drive in Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will set out for the morning game drive in Ishasha sector search for the tree climbing lions and other missed animals. Drive out of the park to Bwindi Impenetrable national park– home to half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the world. It’s a 5 hours drive with lunch en route. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Mountain gorilla trekking experience.

Certainly this is one of the most exciting days of your safari. Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed. The briefing is at 7 am. Your guide will give you highlights of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from 2-7 hours through the steep, densely forested hills and then finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation is an inspiring and privileged moment. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away.

Upon completion of this magical encounter, you will drive you back to the lodge where you can relax in the afternoon or go for another walk to visit one of the communities around. Dinner and overnight stay at lodge as above.

Day 9: All day at Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up early and drive to Lake Bunyonyi for 2 hours. you will spend the whole enjoying the boat trips to the islands and any other activity around the lake. Dinner and overnight stay at Birdnest @Lake Bunyonyi Resort, Arcidia lodge Lake Bunyonyi (Midrange)

Day 10: Transfer to back to Kampala

After early morning breakfast, embark on a 6-7 hours journey back to Kampala with en route lunch and Equator. Arrive late afternoon, and connect to the airport for your scheduled flight back home
